Mashpee has committed a generous amount of funding to improving the town’s recreation options. Heritage park has several playing fields, a great little playground and splash pad that runs all summer long. They built pickle ball courts and prior to that a gorgeous new library. There are miles of hiking and walking trails in Mashpee that wind through the huge reservations and waterfront such as Lowell Holly Reservation, Mashpee River Woodlands, South Cape Beach & the Quashnet River Corridor.
South Cape Beach offers residents a long thin stretch of white sand on Nantucket Sound where you can fish right off the beach. Mashpee Wakeby Ponds provide delighted neighboring homes access to small craft boating and fishing. There is also a public beach and boat launch.
